| Abstract: |
A projection device embodiment comprises a light source system, a gate
with a cross sectional gate area, and projection optics. The light source
system includes a solid-state light source configured to provide light,
and light source optics. The light source optics are configured to
distribute light from the solid-state light source across the gate area
of the gate. The gate is configured to be used to produce an object to be
imaged by the projection device. The projection optics is configured to
project an image of the object.
