| Abstract: |
A system is provided for combining an illumination control signal and an
entertainment signal. At a decoder, the combined signal may be decoded
into an entertainment signal that is delivered to an entertainment device,
and an illumination control signal that is delivered to an illumination
source. The entertainment device may be a video- and/or audio-capable
device, such as a TV set, a computer, a CD- or tape recorder/player, a
toy, and the like. The illumination source may be an LED system that is
controlled by a microprocessor to vary the color and intensity of the
illumination produced by the illumination source in response to the
illumination control signal. The system may be used to adjust illumination
conditions in response to the contents of the entertainment signal.
