| Abstract: |
The invention is directed to a system and method for extending the life of
a bluish, greenish, or reddish colored gel, comprising a filter coating
situated between a light source and a colored gel, which filter coating
has a reflectance band falling in the same wavelength region of the
visible light spectrum as the absorption band for the colored gel such
that burning or bleaching of the color is prevented or delayed.
