Patent Number: 5335468
Title: Compact Truss System
Abstract: A truss system for supporting stage lights or other entertainment components having a strong frame for protecting the components and a vertically adjustable deck from which the components are suspended and from which the components are highly accessible. Truss systems may be connected together either collinearly or in angled configurations depending on the geometry of the venue. The deck is vertically adjustable in response to the components used and/or the geometry of the venue. Caster legs are also part of the system and they allow easy movement of the system and shock isolation of the components. The deck is cushioned against shock and vibration by interposing helical isolators between the frame and the deck. Rail extensions are also provided for added safety and to further protect components during transportation between venues. The system is easy to assemble and disassemble and does not need as much labor as previously.
