| Abstract: |
A system for creating a broad spectrum lighting apparatus for
illuminating a subject. The system includes a lighting panel formed by an
array of colored light emitting diodes (LEDs) representing pixels
corresponding to red pixels, green pixels, blue pixels, and pixels
corresponding to at least color other than red, green or blue. A control
interface converts a video signal consisting of red, green, blue (RGB)
data into a full spectrum light display including all of the LEDS to
create a higher quality white than would have been possible with only RGB
LEDs.
