Abstract: |
A theatre lighting apparatus including a base housing; and a lamp
housing; wherein the lamp housing is remotely positioned in relation to
the base housing by a motor; and wherein the lamp housing is comprised of
a plurality of light sources and a plurality of lenses. Each of the
plurality of lenses has a first surface and a second surface; each second
surface of each of the plurality of lenses has an inner portion and a
perimeter portion; and wherein the inner portion of each of the plurality
of lenses is substantially more polished, and substantially less diffuse
that the corresponding perimeter portion of each of the plurality of
lenses so that light is transmitted in a substantially uniform direction
through the inner portion of each of the plurality of lenses and light is
transmitted in a scattered manner through the perimeter portion of each
of the plurality of lenses.
